The deep lid has an integral knuckle and rod hinge with a plastic coated reinforcing rod to resist strain when pushed back, therefore providing excellent vandal resistance. The lid has been designed with a sloping feature to ensure adequate resistance to wind and moulded-in drainage channels prevent any accumulation of water, thereby keeping the contents of the bin dry. A lock can be supplied as an optional extra. 
The angled lid maximises storage space, enabling the ORBISTOR 800 grit bins to store up to 800ltr of grit or salt, so refilling is cut to a minimum. This makes ORBISTOR 800 grit bins the perfect choice for large sites or remote areas, saving time and money. Manufactured from Durapol^® material, ORBISTOR 800 grit bins are tougher and less expensive than other materials, thereby enabling a greater number of units to be distributed when considering financial limitations or budgeting restrictions.
