Boxes or chests for medicines that are out of date or no longer required are generally either open topped or lockable. Open topped containers present a security risk, while lockable containers are frequently restricted to access by a designated keyholder, resulting in drugs being left loose on top of the unit.

The PHARMACY RETURNS UNIT features a large chute that allows any member of staff to deposit unused medicines, with a secure keyed lock ensuring that only authorised personnel may access its contents. The unit is supplied in deep green with large, clear graphics featuring the Pharmacy Cross and ‘Pharmacy Returns Only’ wording to make the bin clearly identifiable to relevant staff.

PHARMACY RETURNS UNIT has a large 60 litre capacity to reduce the frequency of emptying. A rubber baffle prevents access to the contents via the chute to fully secure the unit.
